Travel has been in my blood since my first cruise almost 50 years ago. After taking 2 cruises, I realized that children needed an outlet for their energy and curiosity while at sea. It was at that time that I approached Holland America Cruise Lines with the idea of an organized children's program. There was no Kids Club like we know today; I was like the Pied Piper of Hamilin searching the ship for an empty corner followed by children of all ages looking to play together and have fun. After working in this capacity for several years and earning 3 stripes, I left and began to work for Gramacy Travel in NYC as a Tour Conductor for Singleworld. I freelanced on NCL and Carnival ships organizing get togethers, dinners, and excursions for solo guests. After doing this for a few years, I left the sea and worked for the Hilton Corporation. But that's not all. I'm a teacher with 2 Master's Degrees and certification in 5 states. I've been teaching since 1972 and have held various positions from classroom teacher to Director and Founder of a small religious school. While teaching in Title I and schools for special needs children, I realized there was a need for affordable family travel, therefore, I opened TravelTrends in 2016 and work with cruise lines that are geared toward children. I am certified by Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival, Celebrity, Princess, MSC, and Sandals/Beaches. In addition, I am a recognized Special Needs Group Certified Accessible Travel Advocate and an Autism on the Seas Authorized Travel Advisor. My goal is to make vacations possible for all.

I can't say that I have always wanted to travel, but in 1995 I went on my honeymoon cruise to Bermuda on the Celebrity Meridian, and that did it. I never wanted to stop. After studying Criminal Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC, I became a volunteer police officer in the Bronx. After my tenure with the police department, I tried my hand at several professions and finally found my niche. I attended the Institute of Culinary Education and eventually became an executive chef. Unfortunately, after a long illness, I was forced to retire from the kitchen that I loved. Feeling restless, I entered Palm Beach State College and got a degree in Accounting Technology. I am now the Accountant for Travel Trends Experts, balancing income and expenditures to financial success and hoping to contribute part of our profits toward affordable travel for families.
